“We want to see if there is interest in Portland in this type of event,” said James LaPlante, of Sputnik Animation, earlier this week. “It’s a cross between a theme park and an art gallery.” It’s a pop-up interactive immersion art experience coming to the East Bayside neighborhood until Friday, September 1st.
Floor to ceiling projection art, sculptures and paintings are among the immersion art to be featured in this first of its kind in the area. Special events are planned throughout the month, including craft activities for children and a fashion show for adults. Every Saturday night the organizers will feature different live performances and DJs.
