The public is invited to a welcoming ceremony on Friday, July 27th, at 58 Fore Street, a/k/a Fore Points Marina at 3:30 pm. Visitors will have an opportunity to visit the largest operating Viking Ship during the next four days.  The culmination of the stay in Portland will be a lecture on Monday, July 30th, 6:00 pm at Shipyard Brewing Company, 86 Newbury Street by Captain Bjorn Ahlander.  The cost of the lecture is $25.00.

When this blogger drove down to 58 Fore Street looking for a photo opportunity to accompany this press release, she was greeted by an unidentified man who told her to get off the property asap.  If this blogger did not do so, he would call the police and have me arrested.  When I asked him for his identity he said his name was John Grover, property manager, for CPB2 LLC.  I asked him if he knew who I was.  He said yes, but was unable to identify me by name. He said the Portland Police Department knows who I am. Grover, property manager, for CPB2 LLC, never said why I was being threatened with arrest. I left knowing what my recourse was.

Forget the photographs to go with the above press information!
