The 33rd annual Holiday Studio Sale at 118 Washington Avenue is underway and runs through December 23rd. There are over 152 vendors selling at this year’s Sale said Jen Markmanrud, childrens’ program coordinator. Exhibiting in this year’s sale are students and teachers from the Portland Pottery Studio. A new feature of the Sale is the inclusion of members of the community who want to display there. The new owner has worked tirelessly to expand the Sale and the pottery studio in general during the last year. Last year there were 120 vendors and this year there are 150 vendors. Five to ten employees have been hired in the past year as part of the expansion plan Markmanarud.
If none of these items fill the niche for your gift giving, you might consider the Portland community edition of Monopoly. Yes, that’s true.
