The city of Portand announced yesterday that starting on Monday, April 28, the city’s contractor, D&C Construction, will be working the Deering Avenue right-of-way from Pitt Street to Fesenden Street.  Constructions hours are from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, Monday – Friday.

Sidewalk closures on one side of the street and lane shifts should be expected.  These impacts are expected to remain in effect until mid-June 2025.  In the event that D&C Construction needs to limit traffic to a single inbound lane, detour signage will be set up within the project zone to direct outbound traffic around the road closure.  The city is asking motorists to avoid the work zone altogether by considering another route during the project.

These construction activities are required to implement the Deering Avenue Sewer Extension Project.
