Dawn Stiles & George Campbell to be Married at Ft. Allen Park Next Week.

Dawn Stiles and George Campbell will be married on Saturday, August 29, 2015.  The ceremony at the Bandstand at Ft. Allen Park will occur at 6:01 am – at dawn in honor of the bride’s first name.  Susan Savell will be officiating at the ceremony.

Maid of honor will be Kathy Wall.  John Campbell (no relation to the groom) will be the best man for the groom.  Natalie Olsen, 9, granddaughter of the groom is the flower girl.  Avery Olsen, 11, is the ring bearer.

The couple will honeymoon in Italy for two weeks.  Some time will be spent on the Amalfi Coast and the rest in Capri.  This is the second marriage for both. They are residents of Portland.

George is a former mayor of Portland having represented District 1, Munjoy Hill, where he lived for years. He’s currently treasurer of the newly formed Portland’s Future PAC.  Both graduated from the University of Maine – Orono – at different times.

“I’m looking forward to not be living in sin anymore,” said George, grinning broadly.   The couple has been together for ten (10) years and engaged for five (5) years.  “I’m guess I’m just a slow operator,” said George, joking again.
