Congress Street Intersection reconstruction work is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 15, 2025, according to a press release issued by the city today
This project includes mill and overlay of the intersection, sidewalk and ADA improvements, installation of new traffic signal infrastructure and lighting and landscaping improvements within the Congress Square intersection.
The public should expect delays during construction.
The contractor, Coastal Road Repair, has a contract with the city through July 30, 2026. Any work not completed this fall will be finished in the spring. The winter shutdown period for work is between November 30, 2025 to April 14, 2026.
