“As of 2:00 pm yesterday, the female patient that was in critical condition at Maine Medical Center, remains ‘as critical.’ The other four fire victims admiitted to the  hospitalmay have been dischraged, although that has not been confirmed by Captain John Brennan, of the Portland Fire Department.  All five are/were suffering from exposure to smoke.

The American Red Cross is assisting the ten (10) people dispaced by the fire.  The fire at Island View Apartments, 151 North Street on Munjy HIll remains under investigation by the Portland Fire Department Investigative Team.  MHN.com has contacted a representative at The American Red Cross to see what neighbors on the HIll can do to assist it with meeting the needs of displaced residents of Island View Apartments.
