Collins Honored for Nearly Three Decades in DC Selling Out the Working Class for Corporate Cash

Graham Platner, Frontrunner in the Upcoming Race for US Senate Addresses his Base on Saturday eveing, Aprl 18, 2026 in Portland, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay.  Over 1,000 of his Base Attended the Rally in Which Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA)  was the Keynote Speaker.

Only Senators That Money Can’t Buy Were Invited to this Rally April 18, 2026; Collins was Not One of Them.

Last night, Senator Susan Collins was the star of America’s worst ball where she spent the night rubbing elbows with pharmaceutical executives and corporate lobbyists.

At the annual “Lobbyist Prom,” a gala that celebrates the cozy relationship between politicians and the special interests that bankroll them, Collins was honored by the same corporate  interests she’s spent decades serving.

One of the main sponsors of this year’s event was Pharmaceutical Researchers and Manufacturers of America  (PhRMA), Big Pharma’s main lobbying arm, which has given thousands to Collins and whose revolving door spins with her forever staff.  New reporting shows the family affair with nearly 100 staffers who used to work for Collins “were or later became lobbyists, including multiple staffers who lobbied the PhRMA” according to a press release received from the Platner for US Senate campaign early this afternoon.

Last quarter alone, Collins pocketed nearly $100,000 from Big Pharma and health care PAC’s, a small fraction of the millions she has accepted from lobbyists throughtout her career.  Her husband’s lobbying firm also received over $50 million in federal contracts — including tens of millions of dollars from agencies  Susan Collins oversees.  After nearly three decades in Washington voting for their interests, they’ve made it worth her while.

Meanwhile, back in Maine, families are forced to choose between keeping the lights on or going to the doctor.  Collins spent last night partying with the executives who have spent years making sure it stays that way.

While Collins schmoozes with her donors, Platner is outraising her with a campaign powerered by small-dollar donors and grassroots support.

As Graham’s said before, “The money is organized.  It always has been and it always will be, until we take the lessons of our past and realize that it’s only through organizing people that we’re going to be able to build a future for working America.”

“It doesn’t appear that the ‘Republican Press Herald’ is carrying this information.  Wonder why,” poses this blogger.  “Do you suppose it’s because the daily local is her mouthpiece?  And she hasn’t given it permission to reprint it?”
