The City of Potland has announced there is a parking ban in effect starting tonight at 10:00 pm and ending, tomorrow, Tuesday, February 10th, a10:00 am.  This ban will give city crews time to clear the streets of Potland.  Vehicles left on the streets will be towed at the owners’ expense…..etc., etc.

Last night an outdoor water pipe broke on Merrill Street.  During the night, the water froze all over Merrill Street.  One woman’s vehicle is frozen in place and she can’t move it.  With a parking ban in place for tonight, I guess she’s not too worried about being towed.

Unfortunately, the weather is only expected to get colder as the week goes on – no warm snap coming to free up her car.
