“Stay Off the Streets Tomorrow,” Urges the City of Portland.

The City of Portland has announced that there is a parking ban in effect starting this evening Monday, January 26th at 10:00 pm, ending WEDNESDAY, JANUARY  28th  at 6:00 am., Cars left on the streets of Portland will be towed at the owners’ expense.  See previous post for details. The City Hall will be closed for non-essential employees. The City is urging everyone to stay off the streets tomorrow.

Furthermore, there will be NO solid waste collection on Tuesday, January 27th and on Wednesday, January 28th.  Collection will resume next week.

The snow is expected to start around 8:00 pm tonight and by 7:00 am, six inches will be on the ground.  The heaviest band of snow will be from 7:00 am tomorrow until 2:00 pm.
