The city of POrtland has declared a citywide parkig ban beginning at 10:00 pm Tuesday, December 23 through 6:00 am Wednesday, December 24.  Vehicles left on city streets after 10:00 pm tonight can be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.

Reminder:  the fine for failing to move your vehicle during a parking snow ban is now $130.

Residents are encouraged to move their vehicles into the approved snow ban parking locations as early as possible due to the timing of the storm and the fact that school is not in session today.  Additionally, for anyone wishing to park in the Spring Street or Elm Street parking garages, the snow ban rate of $3 will be available for anyone who enters after 2 PM today and exists by 8 Am on Wednesday morning.
