On Thursday, January 8, 2026, at about 10:50 pm., the Gray Fire Department responded to the Maine Wildfire Park for a reportd struture fire.  The Maine Warden Service and the Office of State Fire Marshal responded to the scene and confirmed there were no animals or people injured in the fire.

During the morning of January 9, 2026, Invesigators returned to the scene to investigate the fire. Investigators were unable to determine an exact causeof the fire, but believe it was accidental, likely the result of electrical malfunction from multiple possible sources according to a press release issued this evening from Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, for the Maine Department of Public Safety, Augusta.
