“Walking Through History on Foot” is For Sale at the Maine Historical Society and Other Book Stores in the Area.

The Maine Historical Society is holding a book launch “Walking Through History on Foot,” the second book of Munjoy Hill resident Paul J. Ledman.  The launch is set for Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 5:30 pm.  Ledman will speak briefly before the book signing.  Light refreshments will be available.  The book is available at the Museum store as well as other book stores in the Portland area.  The cost is $20.00. and is self-published.

The book is divided into five tours of the city. Monument Square is the starting point for  three of the tours succently described in the book.  Each tour is accompanied by old photographs that compliment the carefully researched text. Even if you don’t take the physical tour, it’s worth the cost to take the mental tour with this book!

Ledman’s first book was about how the Town of Cape Elizabeth responded to the Civil War.
