The body of 18-year old Pedro Matala, of Portland, was recovered from the Presumpscott River at approximately 9:00 pm yesterday.  A search began yesterday afternoon after Matala was reported not to have resurfaced while swimming with friends in the Presumpscott River in Falmouth.

Matala’s body was transported to a local funeral home according to a press release issued this morning by the Depatment of Marine Resources.
