Sometime after 7:30 pm this evening, the lights on top of Munjoy Hill went dark. Businesses like the Hilltop Superette shut down.

According to a member of the Munjoy HIll Fire Department, a line fell down on Merrill Street causing the lights to out. The street was blocked off while CMP fixed it.

By 8:15 it was repaired and lights slowly came on again. The Fire Department said all lights were expected to be on by 8:30 pm.
