Lon Hains, Visitor to the Area, Places His Fried Chicken Order at the Bissell Brothers Brewery Window Today.

Joining the Tasting Rooms at Thompson’s Point this morning is the long-awaited “Big J’s Chicken Shack” – providing a food source for the three sampling rooms that opened earlier this year.  The Chicken Shack had a soft opening over the weekend, but this morning got into the serious business of selling everything chicken to the public.

Everything ordered at the Chicken Shack contains chicken – baked or fried – in some form or other.   There are chicken salads, fried chicken dinners and more.  Only the sides and the desserts don’t contain chicken.

Because of  a collaboration between the adjacent Bissell Brothers Brewery and the Chicken Shack, there is an order window in the wall separating the two businesses.  It’s real easy for patrons of the Brewery to order a chicken meal with their favorite beer.

The Chicken Shack is open every day except for Monday and Tuesday.  It’s open from 11:00 am – 8:00 pm.
