James Anderson, 20, of Biddeford, was placed under arrest and charged with Aggravated Trafficking of Schedule Drugs and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.  He was transported to the Cumberland County Jail where an additional charge of Trafficking in Prison Contraband was added yesterday.

On Monday, October 20, 2025, at apprixomately 7:02 am., a traffic stop was made at the corner of Spring and State Streets.  The officer observed a large knife as the stop developed, establilshing probable cause to search the vehicle.  A further search of the vehicle revealed an unloaded AK-47 style rifle, two 20- round boxes of ammunition and 21 other loose rounds of ammunition.  Also discovered were 14.7 grams of methamphetamine, 4 grams of crack cocaine and 2.3 grams of cocaine HCL.
