Arrest Made in Rite-Aid Robbery @ 290 Congress Street

Daniel Macisaac, 24, Portland, was arrested by Portland Police Detectives and charged with Class A Robbery this afternoon.  He is accused of robbing the Rite-Aid Pharmacy at 290 Congress Street, Congress Plaza on Thursday, March 20 at 8:45 pm.

Police believe Macisaac is the man who entered the store and threatened the clerk while demanding cash.  He claimed to have a gun, but none was displayed.  The perpetrator fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.  No one was hurt during the robbery.

Macisaac was arrested at 211 Cumberland Avenue, Franklin Towers,  at about 2:45 pm today following an investigation by detectives.  Rite-Aid Pharmacy has stepped-up security inside the store for the immeditate future.
