On August 13, 2023, the Pprtland Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Divison was contacted by the Baltimore Police Department in regard to an abducted 10-year-old child that was taken from Baltimore and believed to be in the city of Portland.

The Portland Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Divison worked hard hand in hand with the Baltimore Police Department and the FBI Task Force officer to locate the 10-year-old who was successfully reinstated with their parents.  Additionally, a 17-year-old juvenile Honduran national has been charged in relation to this incident.

The suspect is currently in the process of being extradited back to Baltimore to face potential adult charges stemming from the abduction.  The Criminal Investigation Division is continuing its investigation which is expected to result in additional human trafficking related charges.
