Anthony Leng was arrested at the Portland Police Department this morning just before 9:00 am for the murder of his domestic partner, Sokha Khuon, 36.  The murder happened on Sunday, January 7th.  Leng who turned himself in was taken to the Cumberland County Jail.  He will make a court appearance on Tuesday where the Judge will set bail for Leng.

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner performed an autopsy on Khuon and determined that she died of multiple gunshot wounds.  Her death is ruled a homicide.

Two of their three children were inside the house when the shooting occurred.  The two children inside,  ages 10 and 15, were found unharmed outside the home by police officers responding to a 911 call reporting shots fired.  The children are being cared for by relatives and are receiving counseling said assistant chief Vern Malloch at a press conference this morning at Police Headquarters, 100 Middle Street.

This is an on-going investigation and the Police Department continues to ask anyone with information to call police at 207-874-8575.
