At least several hundred anti-Trumpers gathered late this afternoon in Monument Square to protest the election of The Donald to be the 45th President of the United States

This protest  joined a wave of countless anti-Trump demonstrations across the nation – speakers said that sexual assault admitted by The Donald was not acceptable and that this country needs immigrants among other opinions.

Following the demonstration at Monument Square, anti-Trumpers paraded down Congress Street  carrying signs with drummers keeping the beat going.  They regrouped at Monument Square continuing the anti-Trump demonstration.

For this Portland voter, some consolation comes from the defeat of two city council incumbents who were defeated by newcomers to Portland politics.

The two defeated were Ed Suslovic, from District 3 and Jon Hinck, at-large-councilor.    Neither deserved to be returned to the Portland City Council.  The arrogant duo were replaced by Pious Ali and Brian Batson.
