The City’s Holiday Tree to be Decorated at 5:00 pm November 25th

The annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony happens on Friday, November 25th at Monument Square, at 5:00 pm., in downtown Portland.  The festive event kicks-off the Holiday season for many in downtown Portland.  It features  Rick Charette and Santa Claus plus some free samples of eggnog.  It looks like it could be a dampish lighting, so come prepared.

All the fun culminates with the ever popular Merry Madness on Thursday, December 8th – It runs from 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm.  Shop ’til you drop!  The festivities kick off at 4 – 6:30 pm at Portland House of Music.  Get your Merry Madness wine glass, then shop downtown.  Tickets may be purchased at merrymadness.evenbritecom.
