On November 6, 2025, at approximaely 8:00 am, Portland Police responded to King Middle School for a report of an assault.  A teacher reported witnessing a man grab a 14 year old student by the arm.  The teacher intervened and the man left the area heading east on Park Avenue.  The student was not injured.

Officers located and interviewed the individual involved.  After investigating the circumstances, it was determined that the incident was not nefarious in nature and the student’s parents did not wish to pursue charged.

The Portland Police Departmenet would like to thank the staff at King Middle School for its attentiveness and quick action in reporting the situation.
