On Wednesday, June 17th afternoon Creative Portland is launching a block party on  the 500- 550 block on Congress Street – right in the middle of the arts district of Portland.  From 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm.,  the area will come alive with musicians, dancers and fun for all ages. The Raging Brass will perform at this inaugural event near 511 Congress Street – next to the former Soakology building.

This is a pilot program designed for the third Wednesday of the month activitated by a diverse group of local artists hired by Creative Portland to perform along a stretch of the Congress Street 500 block – between Brown and Oak Streets.

This event has numerous sponsors.  It is collaborated with the City of Portland and Portland Downtown
