A juried art exhibition, Forever Ours, Microplastics and PFAS – opens Sunday, September 7, 2025 and runs through October 23, 2025 at the Bonoff Gallery, St. Albans Church, Cape Elizabeth. The exhibit feaures work by artists and academics responding to the environmental crises of microplastics and PFAS.
There will be a coffee reception with live music on Saturday, September 28, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Everyone is familiar with the convenience and usefulness of plastics, but how much is known about them? The exhibit focuses on expanding awareness of the challenges of these “forever” chemicals. Each art piece is accompanied by an explanatory statement by the artist. The exhibitdion was juried by Boston artist Gail Bos, a curator known for her compelling street art and environmental focus.
Artwork is available for purchase with a portion of proceeds supporting local nonprofits focused on mercy and justice work in the greater Portland area. Gallery hours are Monday – Thursday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
