If you’ve been putting off getting your car washed and vacuumed in downtown Portland, delay no longer!

The next two days will be your last opportunity to get your car washed at Northern Pride Auto Wash and Detail Center, 20 Marginal Way. That’s Friday, July 24th and Saturday, July 25th are the last two days this long time Portland business will be offering its services to its large customer base.  In the winter time, this car wash business typically washes between 300 – 400 cars a day.  In the summer, it slows down dramatically to about 30 or 40 per day. However, the car wash needs to be modernized which would be an expensive expenditure.  Gong with it the car wash, of course, are the all important vacuums that are so useful.

Bangor Savings Bank has contracted with the property owner to lease the space for a 3-story drive-through bank there.  Above it will be several floors of office space.  Construction on the building could begin as soon as August 1st.

Meanwhile the business owner has generously decided that during the last eight (8) days of operations, all proceeds from the business will go to his three employees who will not have a job after Saturday, July 25th.  They are: Julia Kulingoski, Mark Graham and Will Perkins.  They will appreciate your business! (No plastic money, please!)

Aside from surprise at this development, where will we go now, has been the lament of many customers of this business that mhn.com talked to.
