individuals all over southern Maine.  MHN.com recently caught up with him selling naturally grown vegetables to the Hilltop Supperette on Munjoy HIll Thursday.

Bruce has over 135 customers in southern Maine and is ready to build on that base.  To place an order, his cell phone number is 949-9111

Valley has an eighty-four (84) acre farm way up in Corinna where twenty (20) acres of that land is planted in a huge selection of naturally grown vegetables. For example, he has 39 varieties  of tomatoes that are raised from 1,800 tomato plants!

Yes, you read that correctly! 1,800 tomato plants producing 39 varieties of tomatoes!

Twice a week  Bruce, of Valley Farms Naturally Grown, drives down to Waterville and on down the state to Eliot disbursing his  just picked veggies.  For many of his individual customers in Portland, he meets customers at the parking lot on Marginal way to fill their orders.

Every Monday and Thursday he drives the over two (2) hour trek to deliver fresh produce and other delights to his customers.  Typically customers call him on his cell phone the weekend before Monday or on Tuesday or Wednesday before his Thursday trip to place an order and check on what’s available.  That guarantees that his produce is as fresh as it gets.

This thirty-five (35) year farmer’s business is not seasonal.  In fact his season begins in April when he sells his Maple Syrup and continues right through until the holiday season because he makes Christmas wreaths,  He also raises pigs for pork, etc. etc.

Bruce’s ‘ Valley Farms Naturally Grown,is a large farm and he could use lots of additional farm hands. Next summer he is looking to establish a program that will provide him with us  this additional help – he has been so short of help at times, that he has to find other ways to dispose of food he did not have the assistance to pick.  Bruce does not have a web page and just recently got on Facebook.

But he does have a cell phone and is waiting to hear from you!  949-9111,  Good Prices, Good Man!
