You are invited to attend an initial Working Group to Facilitate Pubic Access and Resilience Planning for Swan Island Wildlife Management area in Richmond.  The meeting takes place on Monday, October 6, 2025 from 2:30 – 5:00 pm at Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, at 353 Water Street, Augusta.

The group is made up of representatives from MDIFW, Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, Governors Office of Policy Innovation and the Future, Department of Agirculture, Conservation and Forestry, Town of Richmond and the Friends of Swan Island.  The working group will submit a final report with recommendations to the Legislature in January of 2026.

The first meeting will discuss the tasks the working group will focus on, issues and potential solutions and working group meeting schedule.  There will be an opportunity for public comment at the end of each meeting.
