Although residents of the east end of Portland were not as seriously affected by power outages by CMP as other areas of the state, many residents of the area were affected by outages from Spectrum. During a search of the Hill area, this blogger found a tree near the corner of Montreal and Willis Streets with a limb that had snapped during the storm’s strong winds last night. That information was gleaned by a young man who works as an engineer in Portland and lives near the site of the tree with the snapped limb in that area. The area was isolated by yellow tape preventing vehicular traffic in the area.
Another smaller area on North Street was isolated by yellow tape closing off an area, but this blogger could not see a similar problem as identified in the first paragraph. Go figure!
Due to server issues, this blog only came on line-early this evening. That is why this blogger is able to provide the above information.
