One of Numerous Signs at the Recent NO KINGS DAY Rally Calling Out Collins for Doing Nothing to Stand up to Trump Authoriatism.

Senator Susan Collins (R) has no opinion on whether or not the Epstein files should be released said a staff member who answered her Washington, DC office phone number this afternoon.  “I don’t know how she feels about this,” said the young man who answered her DC phone around 4:30 pm.  “We have no statement on it.”  Her Communiations Director, Kernen Blake, likewise is mum on the subject failing to respond to an email inquiry from this blogger..

If that is in fact the case, she is out of sync with the nation.  According to a poll released this afternoon, 80% of the population believes that the Epstein files should be released to the public.  A large number of Trump’s base is demanding the release of the files.  That is so because one of Trump’s many broken  campagin promises was that as president he would release the files.

Back in May of this year, AG Pam Bondi and her deputy informed President Trump that his name was in the Epstein files, according to a front page article in the Thursday, July 24th issue of “The Wall Street Journal.”  Since that time, President Trump has been as closed mouth as a clam before it is steamed open for a delicious Maine feast  – butter and all!  Actually, the serial lier denies Bondi and Deputy AG Todd Blanche ever told him that his name was in the Epstein files.

Not only that, but Trump has pathetically tried to change the subject to divert the focus from his long-standing friendship with the deceased Epstein and his girlfriend  Maxwell.  It’s not working.  Everyone knows  that former President Obama is not guilty of plotting a coup and treason.  Everyone knows that  Fed Chair Powell is not guilty of mismanagement of renovations made to his office headquarters.

Changing the subject from the release of the Epstein files is not working.  Except maybe for Senator Susan (Caribou) Collins (R)  who appears to be tongue-tied and out of sync with the rest of the country..  Or maybe she is waiting to see which way the Maine wind blows; not a very predictable way to govern when predictably is needed now more than ever.  It begs the question:  Who is she trying to protect?

Adding to the chaos was a five hour meeting today between Deputy AG Todd Blanche with Chislaine Maxwell in Florida near where she is serving a 20 year prison term for sex trafficking along with her deceased boyfriend Epstein. Informed speculation is that Blanche is trying to obtain from her “evidence” to assist in declaring Trump devoid of any involvement with the two criminals.

However,  –  anything Maxwell may say is not creditable since she was charged on two different occasions with perjury while under oath in civil cases.  At the end of the meeting between Blanche and Maxwell this afternoon, her attorney said that Maxwell had answered all questions put to her by Blanche “truthfully, honestly and to the best of her ability.” In a cable news interview yesterday, Senator Lisa Murkowski (R) of Alaska acknowledged that she would not believe whatever Maxwell says in her meeting with Deputy AG Todd Blanche.  It’s interesting that while she was chatty with Blanche today, Maxwell refused to take the stand in her own defense during her own criminal trial. What has Maxwell been promised by Blanche if she utters the magic words that Trump wants to hear from her?  A pardon from Trump or a reduced sentence?

The “productive” interview will continue tomorrow.

“Can’t wait to see how the “Collins Press Herald,” her mouthpiece, explains away her pass on the subject,” said this blogger.  “Drip, drip, drip.”
