You are invited to participate in the 10th annual “Walk the Working Waterfront,” a free event on Saturday, May 31st.  The event runs from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm along Commercial Street on the Portland waterfront.  It celebrates the diversity and history of the people, businesses and infrastructure that compromise the heart of Casco Bay’s working waterfront.

From Becky’s Diner to the Maine State Pier, attendees are encouraged to explore the protected piers and wharves along this route.

“Walk the Working Waterfront” is a collaboration between the Maine Coastal Program, the city of Portland, the Gulf of Maine Research Institute and the Waterfront Alliance.
