The City’s Planning Board will hold a public hearing to consider a plan by the Maine Department of Transportation (MDOT) at the International Marine Terminal, 468 Commercial Street. The public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, February 22 at 7 pm at the city hall, room 209, 2nd floor. Public comments will be taken at this meeting.
The state’s proposal includes removing portions of existing structures, constructing a 3,300 sq. ft. administrative building, a 5,000 sq. ft. pier expansion, lighting and upgrades to the paing, grading and utilities for the site. The project will be reviewed as a Level III Site Plan for compliance with the Land Use Ordinance. There are about 14 acres of land involved.
