Two community representatives to serve on the Homeless Services Center (HSC) Neighborhood Advisory Committee are being sought by the city of Portland.  The HSC  is scheduled to open in March at 654 Riverside Street in the Riverton neighborhood.

As part of the City Councils approval, the management plan for the HSC includes the creation of a neighborhood advisory committee consisting of representatives from the Riverton Neighborhood Association residents, area businesses, the Portland Police Department, HSC staff, the District Attorney’s office, Portland Trails and the District 5 city councilor or his/her designee. The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to address community and guest concerns regarding the operation and impact of the HSC.
