The Portland Farmers’ Market is expected to move to Payson Park starting on Wednesday, May 12 concluding on Saturday, June 26th. The popular Market will return to Deering Oaks on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. The reason for the temporary move is because of the presence of Browntail Moth Catepillars at Deering Oaks Park according to a press release issued by the city of Portland today.
The Farmers’ Market at Payson Park will be held on all paved surfaces northwest of West Kidder Street. To access the Market at Payson Park, you can enter from either Ocean Avenue or Baxter Boulevard with recommended parking located on the grass field north of the playground and east of the little league field.
