Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D0Maine) Meets with Those Impacted by the Lewiston
shooting in her Office in Washington, DC Today.
Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D-ME) today met with Mainers who were directly affected by the mass shootings in Lewiston in October. Following the emotional meeting with the group which included one of the surivors, family members and lawyers representing the victims’ families, Pingree released the following statement:
“It means so much to me that a survivor and family members of those we lost in the Lewiston shooting took time to come to Washington to meet with me and the rest of Maine’s Congressional Delegation-to not only share the deep grief we are feeling but to have a construtive dialogue about ending the gun violence epidemic. These voices matter. We need to listen, we need answers; and we need to enact change so that our communities never have to endure tragedy like this again.”
