Join us for our next work party!  It is set for Thursday, July 24th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.  Feel free to come late or leave early.  We will be pulling weeds, managing orchard diseases and watering newer plantings.  Bring work gloves and pruners if you got ’em.  It’s going to be pretty hot, so a water bottle would be good according to Aaron Parker, Lead Organizer of the all volunteer group, and of Edgewood Nursery, Falmouth.

After that and for your planning, upcoming dates are:

Saturday, August 9th, 9 – 12 noon; Thursday, August 28th, 4 – 7 pm; Saturday, September 13th 9 – 12 noon; Thursday, September 25th, 4 – 7 pm; Saturday October 11th, 9 – 12 noon; and Thursday, October 23 4 – 7 pm.

By way of background, now retired city arborist Jeff Tarling, planted 12 apple trees as sixty students from the East End Community School, directly across the street, watched.  That was in May of 2014.  (See above left photo of Jeff and students from the EECS).
