Will’s Playground, on the Eastern Promenade, is one of the city’s playgrounds participating in a “playground hopping” program for Saturdays in May – beginning tomorrow, May 2, 2009. City Recreation staff will be at specified playgrounds between 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The other four playgrounds participating in the “Take It Outside” program are Longfellow, Lyseth, Reiche and Riverton. The playgrounds will be staffed by city personnel for children from Kindergarten through 5th grade who visit them with their parents to “hop around” and visit the designated playgrounds.

Staff will provide playground equipment, balls and other equipment for the Saturdays during the month of May; 2, 9, 16, and the 30th.
