This morning about half a dozen police officers, several bomb sniffing dogs and Acting Police Chief Michael Sauschuck arrived at Lincoln Park to tell campers that someone called the police department to inform it he had planted a bomb – between the Park and the courthouse and near the courthouse fuel tanks. After a thorough search of the Park, no bomb was found and it was declared a hoax.
This followed yesterday’s general assembly meeting at Lincoln Park at which many items were discussed. Rallies before or after campers eviction, whether or not to hold more or less general assemblies and where to hold them.
The decision regarding legal action against the city came late in the agenda when mhn.com got too cold to remain. Following a warm-up, mhn.com returned to the Park and learned the group decided to pursue legal remedies available to it through its pro bono attorney John Branson.
