On Tuesday, December 17th at 5:30 pm., activists will gather at Monument Square in Portland as part of the nationwide “Nobody is Above the Law” rallies. Ten Maine cities will be participating in the event including Bangor according to a press release issued yesterday by Marie Follayttar, Director of Mainers for Accountable Leadership.
Tuesday is estimated to be the night before the US House of Representatives votes to impeach Donald Trump for high crimes and misdemeanors.
This mobilization is part of a massive, grassroots effort to ensure Congress holds criminal Donald Trump accountable for using military aid to pressure Ukraine to interfere in our 2020 elections. Protestors will demand that the House of Representatives fulfills its constitutional duty by impeaching Donald Trump and that the Senate remove him from office for attempting to rig the 2020 elections. Congress must show that no one – including the criminal in the White House is above the law according to Follayttar.
All fifty (50) states will be participating in this Impeach Rally with 600 events scheduled and growing.
As Congressman Adam Schiff has said in the past not to follow through with this impeachment would tell Trump that it’s alright to go ahead and extort foreign countries to meddle in the 2020 elections to his benefit. Representative Schiff also said this morning on television that following the “Mueller Report” Trump thought he was exonerated from any wrong doing. So, he called President Zelensky of Ukraine and began the extortion effort that finally caught up with him and his dirty dealings.
Impeach and remove criminal Trump to Keep our Republic!
