This year’s annual Ice Cream Social drew about 200 children, parents and teachers according to some estimatess. The event which was hosted by the PTO is a way for everyone to organize and get to know each other said Bob Summers, co-chair of the PTO for this upcoming season. The other co-chair is Amelia LaBreck.
The PTO expects to host its usual meetings, but plans also include some new projects as well. There may be movie and game nights as well as a new emphasis on green events and awareness in the school.
The first day of school is Tuesday, September 6th for grades 1 – 5 at the EECS.
