“This is our opportunity to celebrate the opening of “Print,” said Josh Christie, a co-founder with Emily Russo of their new bookstore at the juncture of Congress and India Streets near the base of Munjoy Hill.
Christie was referring to a grand opening on Saturday, December 3rd from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm. The much-anticipated bookstore opened just two days before Thanksgiving Day – all in good time for holiday gift shopping. Light refreshments will be served at the grand opening.
Both Russo and Christie come from families of writers – perhaps that accounts for their stocking the handsome shelves with books of substance and not just the book-du-jour. It’s a book store for the serious reader more than the casual reader – sorely missing from other bookstores in the area. Christie is a writer himself – having written several books and serving as a columnist for Maine Media Today.
One of the Maine Writers whose books is featured at Print is Chris W. Morin. The author of three (3) books to date concentrates on historical novels from World War 11 forward. His first book is “A Tale of Life & War,” a World War 11 story. His just released book is “The Rebel’s Wrath,” a Civil War story with some Portland history in it. The cost is $17.95 and it can be purchased at Print; A Bookstore.
“I just love to write and that’s why I do it. We’ll see where it leads me,” said Morin. please visit www.christophermorinauthor.com for more information. He has a BA in Journalism from U of Maine.
It may lead you to the Print grand opening this weekend.
