The Maine Statehood Day Ceremony planned for Sunday, March 15 at 1:00 pm at the Augusta Armory is postponed. It will be rescheduled at a safer time for the public said Senator Bill Diamond, Chair, of the 2020 Celebration.
The upcoming March 16 city council meeting and March 23 workshop have been cancelled and will be rescheduled at later dates.
All committee or public meetings for one month have been suspended in order to practice social distancing in order to reduce the number of large gatherings to help slow the spread of the virus. The city will reassess this directive on an ongoing basis and announce any changes should this change.
