Juices, smoothies, iced coffee and tea are the featured items on the menu at the brand new Flying Fox that opened this morning at 7:30 am at 98 Washington Street on the East End of Portland. Business owner is Birch Hincks, a former employee of Eventide. She and Tim Adams, owner of the nearby Oxbow Brewery (and Hill residents) were hard at work this morning mixing and making drinks for numerous friends who stopped in to support them on their Grand Opening Day.
The building that was once a law firm was visited by friends and neighbors on the Hill when they opened. Kit Paschal, owner of the nearby ROUSTABAOUT said: “This is a great addition to the neighborhood.” Current employees of Eventide and Oxbow were enthusiastic supporters of the new business as well.
Juice drinks cost $8.00 and smoothies are $6.00. A Nitro Cold Brew Coffee is $4.00. Flying Fox is open five days a week – Monday – Friday between 7:30 am – 2:00 pm.
