Pet wine, cookies, dog food and toys are just some of the expanded pet products the discerning pet owner will find at the recently relocated Fish & Bone.  The pet boutique, owned by Kathy Palmer, a Munjoy Hill resident, moved from its 195 Commercial Street location to 5 India Street about six weeks ago.

The new location is many times larger than the Commercial Street location which F&B ocupied for close to fifteen years.  It’s also in a residential community with many pet owners living in the area.  Most of the new space is dedicated to dogs and their food, equipment and toys.  New to the product line are two brands of gently cooked food for dogs:  Zignature dog food and Nature’s Logic.  A smaller section of the space is dedicated to cats’ products.

“It’s nice to see more of these niche businesses pop-up on Munjoy HIll,” said David Taly, who lives in the area.  He purchased a bottle of Pet Winery for his four year old cat, Loki.  “This is like going to Toys R Us for Kenny.  Right now he likes soft treats,” said Chris Rauchi, who also lives in the neighborhood, of his dog, Kenny.  “Kenny is always treated really well when we come here.”

Palmer’s first pet retail business was located on Congress Street on Munjoy Hill years ago.  She currently owns a similar store in Boston.
