Lee Farrington, owner/chef of the fabulous Figa Restaurant on Congress Street said earlier today that she is now open for lunch. It’s something she’s been considering for a long time now and people kept asking her to do it. “We’re here so why not?” she said.
Figa Restaurant which has been enthusiastically reviewed in “Down East” magazine, opened on October 26 last fall after a long delayed opening due to water issues with the then building owner.
Figa is serving lunch on Thursday, Friday and Saturday between the hours of 11:30 am until 2:30 pm. It’s a complete different menu than the evening menu and expects at this time to remain constant from day to day. There are about 12 items on the menu including Gazpacho Soup for $7. It is fantastic. At the other end of the menu is a Portobello, Goat Cheese, Basil Green Olive Pesto Sandwich on House Bread for $12. and much more in between. The new luncheon menu started on June 30th.
editor’s note: Peggy Farrington is expecting their first baby, daughter Ashton, on August 9th.
