On Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 9:42 am., Portland Police responded to a crash in the 600 block of Warren Avenue involving a motor vehicle and an electric scooter.  Witnesses state that a 55 year old female from Westbrook was traveling the wrong way in the bike lane when she struck the side of a vehicle pulling out of the Wendy’s parking lot driven by a 19 year old male from Gorham.

The victim was transported to Maine Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.  No charges have been filed at this time.  Warren Avenue was closed for two hours during this incident.
