Portland’s Corporation Counsel Gary Wood has announced that he will retire from city service on September 14, 2012. After twenty-one years of public service to the City, he has decided to retire and enjoy more of the Maine outdoors.
For the last twenty years, Wood has served as the city’s chief attorney. Wood graduated from Maine School of Law in 1975 and from Cornell University in 1970.
A national search process for his replacement will be conducted.
