City Offers Flue Clinics Across Greater Portland; Two Upcoming at City Hall

The City of Portland is once again offering flu vaccines to help protect adults living in the Greater Portland area during the upcoming influenza season. The seasonal flu vaccine will be available for $10.00 or at no cost for individuals with a Medicare Part B card. Private insurance that covers flu vaccination including MaineCare will be accepted. Pneumococcal pheumonia vaccine will also be available for $45. or free for people with Medicare. The clinics are open to adults, eighteen and older.

There will be two opportunities to receive the vaccinations at City Hall. The first opportunity is Wednesday, October 5, at the State of Maine room, City Hall, 389 Congress Street, between 11 am – 3 pm.

The second opportunity to receive the vaccinations comes later in the month; Wednesday, October 26, in the baseoment room # 24, city hall, 389 Congress Street, between 11 am – 3 pm
