The Portland City Council will hold a public hearing to consider a zoning map amendment from R-6 Residential to R-7 Residential in the vicinity of Boyd Street, Mayo Street and Oxford Street.  The meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 19th at 7:00 pm., at City Hall, City Council Chambers.

The applicant for the zone change is the Portland Housing Authority according to a press release issued by the city recently.

The zone change covers about 5 acres of 10.8 acres of Portland Housing Authority residential campus in East Bayside. If this zone change is approved, the applicant would build a 45 unit housing development at the corner of Boyd Street and Oxford Streets.
