Portland has announced a city-wide parking ban beginning tonight, Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:00 pm and running through Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 6:00 am.  Vehicles left on city streets after 10:00 pm tonight will be towed at the owners’ expense.

Just before noon today, it appeared that Cutter Street and a section along the Eastern Promenade designated for parking during parking bans were mostly filled.

With schools closed today and a roughly 6 in. snow fall on the ground, children of all ages were taking advantage of ideal conditions on the Eastern Promenade for sledding, snowman making and angel making.
